
Administrative Services staff provide educational planning and communication services to the COE
and to school districts county-wide. The County Superintendent of Schools provides leadership to
the educational community and to the County Office of Education; serves as Chief Administrative Officer and
Ex-Officio Secretary for the County Board of Education; and ensures compliance with all relevant education
laws, policies and regulations.

As the Ex-Officio Secretary for the County Board of Education, the Superintendent provides direct administrative support to the seven-member elected County Board
of Education.

The Center for Educational Planning provides planning, research, evaluation, and support services to
the COE, school districts, and other educational agencies.

Communication Services provides public relations, graphic design, and printing services to the
public education community.
