Participation Options for Employers

ROP is a career-technical training program familiar to many business leaders. Most remember their own ROP experience fondly ... great teachers from industry, hands-on training, working while learning on the job and the authentic work environment within the classroom. "ROP is where I got my start!" and "ROP was the program that made academics make sense for me!" are often heard.

Santa Clara County Regional Occupational Programs (ROP) continue to meet the needs of employers in Santa Clara and San Benito County. ROP offers courses to help you and your employees upgrade skills or to learn new aspects of the industry. Nearly 80% of ROP completers are employed or pursuing additional higher education.

"How can I help with the ROP classes today?" is usually the next question.

Business and industry partnerships are key to the continuing development and connection that teachers and students make with the real workplace. In follow-up studies carried out annually, ROP completers state that the most exciting aspects of their training were the career-technical subject matter and hands-on experience.
