Dr. Charles Weis is the superintendent of schools for Santa Clara County. He owned and operated a
consulting firm from 1974 to 1980, serving school districts and businesses throughout California.
He became Ventura County superintendent in 1993, and in 2006 was re-elected to his fourth term. He
took over in Santa Clara County in July 2008.
